What is Oflox Eye Drop Used For? Oflox Eye Drops are used to treat bacterial infections of the eyes. Common uses include: Bacterial conjunctivitis (pink eye) Corneal ulcers (open sores on the cornea) Blepharitis (inflammation of the eyelids) Keratitis (inflammation of the cornea) Eye infections after eye surgery or injury It can also be used in the ears for bacterial ear infections (otitis externa), as it's a dual-purpose drop (eye/ear). ⚙️ How It Works Ofloxacin stops the growth of bacteria by blocking enzymes (DNA gyrase) they need to replicate and repair their DNA. This kills the infection at the source. ✅ How to Use Wash your hands before applying. Tilt your head back and pull down your lower eyelid. Instill 1–2 drops in the affected eye(s), usually 2 to 4 times a day, as prescribed. Keep your eyes closed for 2–3 minutes.
