What is Oxitob Eye Drop?
Oxitob Eye Drop is a prescription-only antibiotic ophthalmic solution manufactured by Akumentis Healthcare Ltd. It combines two active ingredients:
Tobramycin (0.3% w/v) – an aminoglycoside antibiotic
Moxifloxacin (0.5% w/v) – a fluoroquinolone antibiotic
This combination effectively treats bacterial infections in the eye by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis and DNA replication, thereby preventing the growth and spread of infection-causing bacteria.
💊 Uses
Oxitob Eye Drop is primarily used for:
Bacterial Conjunctivitis – inflammation of the conjunctiva caused by bacterial infections.
Keratitis – infection of the cornea.
Other bacterial eye infections – as determined by a healthcare provider.
It helps alleviate symptoms such as redness, swelling, itching, and discharge from the eyes.
