Visiotears helps to lubricate eyes and treat mild to moderate dry eye conditions. Visiotears contains povidone and polyvinyl alcohol. Povidone lubricates and moistens film on the surface of the eye. Polyvinyl alcohol decreases the surface tension of the tears so that they spread more easily over the surface of the eye and don’t break into dry spots. It also has properties similar to the natural mucin (a type of glycoprotein) produced by the conjunctiva, which soothes and lubricates the eye and enhances the stability of the tear film. Visiotears is indicated for the relief from dry eye in cases of Keratoconjunctivitis sicca.

A healthy eye produces enough tears to keep it moist and healthy. However, in patients with Dry Eyes or Keratoconjunctivitis sicca (KCS), either the amount of tear production is reduced or the rate at which the tear evaporates is increased. Visioaid is Schirmer’s test strip (STT) that helps to diagnose KCS. Based on the extent to which the STT strip is moistened by tears, the veterinarian is able to diagnose the severity of KCS and provide suitable treatment. The veterinarian will place the tip of VISIOAID inside the eyelid, closes the eye, and holds the paper for exactly 60 seconds. The distance travelled by the tears on the VISIOAID strip in sixty seconds is recorded and the diagnosis is made.

Vetachlor-M contains the anti-fungal agent Miconazole and the antiseptic Chlorhexidine. While miconazole provides relief from dermatological conditions associated with fungal infections like ringworm, superficial skin infections, chlorhexidine is a broad-spectrum antimicrobial with demonstrated activity against both gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, yeasts, and viruses. Vetachlor-M is indicated for the fungal infections and dermatitis associated with Staphylococcus intermedius, Microsporum canis, Microsporum gypseum and Trichophyton mentagrophytes.
